About The Wild West:
After the first User Feedback Update, the AI no longer jumps around too much (in fact, they were somewhat nerfed, so they could be better optimized in a future update). The game also runs at the highest graphics settings on systems with the Recommended Specifications (though the anti-aliasing could be improved I usually don’t write lengthy game reviews on Steam, but feel that it is important to do so for early access games. I have followed the development of this game from the very beginning and I cannot say I am an unbiased reviewer, but still feel I can offer valuable insight to potential buyers. I was impressed with the visual quality of the screenshots from the Dev’s and I was not disappointed while playing the game, though there a few areas where a greater diversity of textures could have been used. In terms of game play, within the first 5 minutes of playing I was driving a wagon across the map and fleeing gunmen who had gotten into a skirmish with the local townspeople and a bear. The saloon is active, but nothing can be purchased in it. In fact, trading posts and the jail are the only places to interact within the towns. I was most surprised at just how complete it feels for an early access, but also feel it will quickly need to have content added in the future so players don’t get bored. My biggest complaint are the expexted bugs including navigating while on the wagon. It is near impossible to read the map while the wagon is moving. After moving away from the central lake, water is hard to find, so being able to create caches arounf the map would be helpful.
